Hire charges (January 2009):
Each hire is costed on an individual basis, our minimum hire charge for one instrument is £200, which is inclusive of delivery within a radius of 30 miles.
Oberlinger Chamber Organ
Single manual Oberlinger continuo organ for hire. The organ consists of: Copula 8', Gedackt 4', Flöte 2’, Quinte 1 1/3, Piccolo ½’-1’ The keyboard has a 51 note compass (CC- d). The organ is tuned to equal temperament and the pitch is at A440. The organ is also equipped with a transposer to enable it to be played at Baroque pitch. This is an ideal instrument for continuo work of all types. The generous scaling, together with the slightly larger stoplist of the organ also means that this instrument could be used as a temporary replacement during work on a pipe organ in a church.The organ is available for hire on a short or long-term basis
William de Blaise Harpsichord
Single manual William de Blaise harpsichord for hire. The harpsichord consists of 8, 4, and harp. The harpsichord also has other de Blaise innovations which allow the player to modify the volume of the stops. The harpsichord has recently been fully restored by Robert Morley & Sons, resulting in an instrument with stable tuning and a marvellous tone. It is tuned to equal temperament, and the pitch is at A=440.
